How it works
- Choose JPG or PNG photos, or drop them on this page. Each one shows whether it stores a location.
- Each photo is copied without its hidden details: location, camera, dates, captions and comments.
- Download the cleaned copies and share those instead of the originals.
Questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The work happens inside this browser tab, so your photos never leave your device and no server sees them. Closing the tab clears them from memory.
Does this hide everything that could identify a place?
No. It removes details stored inside the file. Anything you can see in the photo stays, such as a street sign, a face or a house number, so look at the picture before you share it.
Is the picture itself changed?
No. The image data is copied exactly, so there is no quality loss, and the orientation setting is kept so the photo still shows upright. Photos can be up to 20 MB each. HEIC photos are not supported here, but HEIC to JPG copies carry no location.
